Yuvraj Singh in Parliament to invite PM Modi for his wedding

India’s 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh, who is set to marry fiancee and Bollywood actress Hazel Keech, reached Parliament today to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers for his wedding scheduled on November 29.

Yuvraj and Hazel keech got engaged in a quiet affair in Bali, Indonesia earlier this year. But according to media reports, the star cricketer has planned a grand wedding, where into all the who’s who from the field of Bollywood, sports and politics are expected to be in attendance.

Yuvraj Singh last played for India in the ICC World T20 held at home earlier this year.

The 34 year old has been part of India’s title winning campaigns in the 2007 ICC World T20, where he famously hit England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over, and in 2011 World Cup, where he was announced the Man of the Series.

The Punjab southpaw is a champion in his own right, fought and defeated cancer, and inspired a whole generation of youngsters by making a comeback to international cricket after his bout with the deadly disease.

However, the important question is whether Yuvraj has been able to withdraw Rs 2.5 lakh from the bank for his wedding. The Government of India, in its demonetization move, has placed a daily cap on withdrawals from ATMS and banks. Only those getting married can withdraw up to Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Yuvraj is set to join Indian teammates Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma, who have recently got married.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh arrived at Parliament in the capital to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend an invitation for his marriage with model and actress Hazel Keech. The wedding of the cricketer cum actor is scheduled for November 30 in Chandigarh. The couple had engaged in April, private ceremony.

The traditional gurdwara wedding will take place in Chandigarh on November 30 which will be followed by another wedding as per Hindu rituals in Goa on December 2. Close friends and relatives are expected to be at this function.

The sangeet and reception will be held in Delhi on December 5 and December 7, respectively. While the venue for the sangeet is a farmhouse near Chattarpur, the reception will be at a city hotel.

Yuvraj’s father had said that the couple will have a small wedding. The wedding is reported to be a close affair with 60 guests, which will include Yuvraj’s close friends, family and friend cricketers from both the national team and the Ranji team. We are holding the mehendi, sangeet and reception on the same day, followed by a gurdwara shaadi, after which we will take Hazel for ‘darshan’ of our guru Baba Deep Singh Ji,” Yograj Singh had said this.

The wedding date
Yuvraj had earlier revealed that his mother Shabnam Singh is too keen that he gets married before his 35th birthday. And that is completely what is happening. Yuvraj and Hazel are all set to tie the knot on November 29 in Chandigarh. His father was quoted as telling the daily, “We are holding the mehendi, sangeet and reception on the same day, followed by a gurudwara shaadi.

No big fat Punjabi wedding
Yuvraj and Hazel are in no mood to go for a big fat Punjabi wedding. The couple has decided to have a simple wedding. In fact, the wedding guest list is also small. The wedding will be attended by only 60 guests.

Farah Khan to choreograph sangeet ceremony
it is no normal wedding as Farah has decided to choreograph the sangeet ceremony. In an interview to Times of India, Farah revealed that she had promised to choreograph Yuvi’s sangeet and she is sticking to it. He is a very old and dear friend, so it is not a professional engagement for me. He calls me his sister, so it is more like a gift.

Father Yograj’s advice to Yuvraj on marriage
Yograj is on cloud nine as his son is all set to tie the knot with Hazel. And father hopes that Yuvraj builds a wall around his relationship with Hazel. Marriage is about two people and there should be no scope for a third person. Relatives blast relationships and he wants these kids to know that they do not have to let anyone have access to what they share. Hazel is a very mature girl. She has grown up in a joint family, and all she wants from us that is love. He said, i was recently hospitalized, and she and Yuvraj were by my side all week. His family finally looks complete with Hazel.
