Rio Olympic : 2nd day update of Olympics indians
Rio Olympic :
On the 2nd day at Rio Olympic could have been entirely dull if Dipa Karmakar, gymnast hasn’t qualified for the finals. Other Indian contingent seemed to struggle to dominate their position but failed in the attempt. Here are the results of yesterday’s matches and individual athletes.
Individual Vault
Dipa Karmakar made history as she became the first Indian to make up to the final in her very virgin experience at Olympic Games. She has finished being eighth in the qualifying round.

Shooting (Women)
Heena Sidhu struggled but failed to qualify for the 10m women’s air pistol event.
Shooting (Men)
Manavjit Singh Sandhu+ and Kynan Chenai were placed into the Monday’s second round of men’s trap qualifications with hard efforts. Sandhu and Chenai ended on being 17 and 19 respectively. The pair will again shoot on Monday at 18:00 IST. Their chances of making to the final seem very small.

Women Archery
Women’s archery team consisting of Deepika Kumari, Laxmirani Majhi and Bombayla Devi was beaten in the semi finals by inches.
Indian Hockey Team (Women)
What a ‘come back’!!! The best has been shown by of the Indian women’s hockey team by drawing 2-2 with Japan in their first Olympics appearance since 1980.
