Attack In Zakura Near Srinagar, Soldier Killed, 8 Injured In Terror

Attack in Zakura near Srinagar. One jawan of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was killed and eight others soldier injured in a “hit-and-run” attack in Zakura on the frontier of Jammu and Kashmir capital Srinagar on Friday evening. The terrorist abstain after shooting at a defense of the paramilitary force.
The region has been shut off and extra troops have been sent to the location. A search operation has been launched. Three of the soldier are injured, including a local policeman, are critical, as statement said.
Zakura, an industrial sector that houses, factories and many offices of small businesses, is near 12 km away from Srinagar’s city centre Lal Chowk.
The firing began at 7:00 PM in the evening were three of companies were returning after their duty. It was a group of six vehicles. Two to three men came out of street and shoot on one of the vehicles and ran away,”
Deepak Kumar, a senior SSB official, said in report. Although it stopped by 7:30 PM, the operation has not been recall.
As per early reports, there were two terrorists who attacked the army camp. Senior army personnel, while cooperate with reporter confirmed that two terrorists attacked the CRPF camp. Sources claim that there could be a third terrorist as well on the location.

The exact numbers have not been announced. The terrorists hit at a time when the CRPF camp was caught off guard. The patrolling team was returning to the Zakura camp after day-long security duty. The terrorists might have got away from the scene. More details are awaited.
After India take away surgical strikes across the Line of Control on September 29, security forces in the Kashmir Valley have encounter large attacks by Pakistani terrorists.
Earlier this week, two members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba or LeT were killed, three days after they attacked a government sort out in Pampore, 15 km from Srinagar.

This is the first warrior attack in the city since the collision at Nowhatta on August 15 in which a CRPF camp was killed and nine other staff member were injured.
Terrorist organisation Al-umar-Mujahideen (AuM) asserted charge for the attack on a paramilitary escort in Zakura. The stuff also warned of similar attacks on Indian security forces in the coming days.

September 26, 2013: At least thirteen army killed in twice suicide attacks Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 10 people, apart from three militants, were killed during the attacks. The dead include four policemen and two civilians in Kathua District and four Army personnel, including Lieutenant Colonel Bikramjeet Singh in Samba District.
November 27, 2014: 10 persons, including four civilians, three Army soldiers and three militants were killed in day-long encounter at border village of Kathaar in Arnia sector, close to the International Border, of Jammu District.
December 5, 2014: A group of heavily armed militants stormed into an Armys 31 Field Regiment Ordinance Camp located at Mohra in Uri Sector of Baramulla District near the LoC. One Lieutenant Colonel and seven soldiers of the Army, one ASI and two constables of Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed. Six militants were also killed in the operation.
