Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech ki shaadi see first pics of wedding

Yuvraj Singh :

Yuvraj kept it sharp in a black velvet achkan, which he teamed with a white churidar and a pair of black jootis, while wife-to-be Hazel Keech stepped out in a white lehenga with a plain gold border and a jacket with heavy gold embroidery.

Yuvraj looked a Punjabi gabru in his outfit and finished his look with a complementing beard. Both looked good as they welcomed the guests for the first function, ahead of the many, for their wedding.

After India beat England inside four days in Mohali, the star players were expected to grace the occasion and they did not disappoint. Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay, Parthiv Patel, Ishant Sharma were the first ones to arrive and seemed relaxed after a satisfying result on the ground.

Also in attendance, cricketers Ashish Nehra, Mohammad Kaif, former India captain Kapil Dev, PCA officials, commentator Gautam Bhimani, and others.

Virat Kohli looked sharp in the traditional attire and finished his look with a stole around his neck. The Indian skipper spoke earlier in the day about how the team can unwind at Yuvraj’s function, and chill for longer.

Also in attendance was Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj. There were reports earlier that he would not be in attendance at the functions but those murmurs were put to rest in Chandigarh. He made his way to the venue after posing for the photographers eagerly awaiting his shot.

The couple will tie the knot at Fatehgarh Sahib gurudwara, 50 kilometres from Chandigarh on Wednesday. An elaborate wedding will take place in Delhi and the wedding trousseau is said to have been designed by JJ Valaya. The gurudwara wedding in Chandigarh is to be followed by a grand wedding reception in Delhi on December 2 and another wedding reception in Goa.

Much to the delight of Team India, they wrapped up the third test match with England a day earlier and have already headed to their friend Yuvi’s wedding. Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Parthiv Patel, Anil Kumble and Mohammad Kaif among others joined Yuvi in Chandigarh for the wedding celebrations.

Yuvraj and Hazel have both stayed fairly quiet about their wedding details. All know that an invite was sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Also that the couple is going in for two ceremonies: a Sikh one at Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale’s dera in Duffera on 30 November, followed by a Hindu ceremony in laidback Goa on 2 December. A reception has been planned in Delhi for 7 December.

Yuvraj wanted to wrap up the wedding ceremonies before his 35th birthday on 12 December.

While the wedding itself is being kept fairly low key and private, the pre-wedding festivities have all the hallmarks of what the English cricket team called “a big, fat Punjabi celebration”.

At her mehendi, Hazel glowed in an orange and gold lehenga. An ornate gold maang-teeka made for statement jewellery.
