Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan another Film together

Salman Khan :

How sharply the cracks in one of the most high profile Bollywood friendships have been papered over were revealed at the Star Screen Award 2016, held in Mumbai at Sunday night. A block was co-hosted by superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who finished a sharp and very public quarrel two years ago in November 2014.

Speaking to reporters at the event, both actors said that a future film together was more than likely, reports news agency PTI. SRK, 51, and Salman, also soon to be 51, have co-starred in Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam, the last of which was made in 2002.

Asked about the probability of reuniting on screen, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Woh bhi ho jayega (It will also happen). They are there. Someone will bring a film, they will do something.” Salman Khan agreed that “It will happen. If some good, knowledgeable writer comes with something, they will definitely do it.

A film with both Salman Khan and SRK will also require a director with huge reserves of patience, said by SRK.

In 2008 Salman and SRK fell out at a birthday party for actress Katrina Kaif. For the next six years, they were at war, put in with brief intervals at politician Baba Siddique’s iftaar parties where worried truce was temporarily sealed with photo opportunity hugs. In November 2014, Salman Khan and SRK publicly restored their broken friendship at Salman’s sister Arpita Khan’s wedding.

Since then it is been light, love and peace. SRK declared the first look of Salman’s film Bajrangi Bhaijaan at last year and have made it justly clear that for them, impossible is nothing.

Meantime, back at the Star Screen Awards, both actors said they had fun on stage. “It is fun. This is the way they are normally also. It is nice to have expanded it. They really had fun,” said by SRK. “Also It was really good fun. The theme is friendship so who better than me and him to host it,” said by Salman.

They rejected on behalf of their colleague Aamir Khan when asked if he would join them at a future award show. Aamir does not attend awards, said SRK and Salman.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were last seen in their films Sultan and Dear Zindagi. SRK’s Raees opens next month and Salman is working on Tube light with director Kabir Khan.
