Kapil Sharma, Irrfan Khan may having trouble up to 3 years in jail

The BMC has found infringement in 15 flats in the buildings which also included actor Irrfan Khan’s and comedian, actor Kapil Sharma flat.

According to report, the complaint given by the BMC, the Mumbai Police has registered a case against actor Irrfan Khan and comedian Kapil Sharma under MRTP Act for illegal development.

The case has been registered by BMC officials who have found the two Bollywood Famous personalities in infringement of the rules under MRTP Act.

During the course of the checkout the two people will be called in for inquiry,” an official said.

Kapil Sharma and Irrfan Khan who own flats in the DLH Enclave in Goregaon have been operated notices for illegal constructions within the building.

The BMC has found infringement in 15 flats in the building s which included flats of the actor Irrfan Khan and stand-up comedian kapil Sharma.

On Friday morning, comedian Kapil Sharma tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a Twitter post file to claim that a BMC official had demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh for the construction of his office.

Kapil Sharma was at the getting end of political and activists parties as the civic body’s records hinted that the K (West) ward office had kept out ravage of illegal extensions atop and proximate to his bungalow in Versova.

Officials claimed these extensions had led to a segment of mangroves abutting the bungalow being ruined.

Kapil Sharma complaint, filed by Deshpande’s lawyer, mentions that since BMC officials are public servants under section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, and if they have demanded bribe, it amounts to dishonour under section 39 of CrPC.

Also, it is a duty of a person to stop a complaint against that public servant with the belonging authority, and if he fails to perform his duties as per section 176, it amounts to an offence, the complaint further said.

“In this case, Kapil Sharma did not act as a responsible citizen and failed to live up to his duty. Hence, I have demanded the police officials to go into the merits of my complaint, convert it into an FIR and call him for further investigation,” Deshpande said.

Besides, MNS general secretary Shalini Thackeray today visited the tehsildar office in suburban Andheri along with her supporters and demanded officials concerned to register an FIR against Sharma for allegedly destroying mangroves.

The MNS had also last week reacted sharply to Kapil Sharma, authority on a statement he reportedly made indicate to role of its workers.

The opposition Congress had used the issue to target BJP and Shiv Sena, who together control BMC.

However, the Shiv Sena had dared Kapil to name the bribe seeker. BJP MLA Ram Kadam had earlier lodged a complaint with the cyber cell of Mumbai Police and demanded to forward it to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to probe Sharma’s accusation.

However, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam today came out in boost of Kapil Sharma and said the artiste was being “victimised” to turn attention from the issue of lop.

He also invoked Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao to interfere in the matter. “Try to turn attention from the main issue of grafting, the BJP, Shiv Sena and MNS have condemned Mr Sharma of illegal works in his office and intimidated him with ravage and other harsh actions. I severally believe the municipal authority has all the right to take action against any illegal structure in Mumbai,” Nirupam said.

In the letter, Nirupam also invoked the Governor to direct Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to begin either an inquiry by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) or a judicial probe into the charges made by the artiste.

On Friday, Kapil Sharma had tweeted his anguish and said, “I am paying Rs 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay Rs 5 lakhs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi (sic).”

“Yeh hain aapke achhe din? @narendramodi (are these your good days),” he had seek to know in another tweet, dispatching to Modi’s 2014 poll slogan of “good days are ahead”.

Sharma has 63 lakh followers on his Twitter handle and since he tagged the Prime Minister, the tweet instance to fast reactions from all major political parties, with an eye on the future civic elections.

It also flushed an immediate reaction from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who solicited Kapil Sharma to provide the authorities with essential information to penalize the culprit.

Later, in a clear attempt to cap the controversy from rapid, Kapil Sharma said he did not seek to blame any political party.

We hope the matter gets resolved soon and Kapil’s back to doing what he does best- make people laugh through his TV show.
