We are going to build this country, with the site focusing alternative fuel economy so that India will soon zero importing petroleum products.
Added more in words “We are going to develop this country where our import of petroleum will be zero. We are encouraging alternative fuel like ethanol, methanol, bio-CNG… this will simulate the rural and agriculture centre and build large amount of employment,” said by Mr Gadkari, the Road Transport and Highways Minister.
In spite of low rates universally, India at currently enduring a huge amount of money that is Rs. 4.5 lakh crore on rough imports which was sooner Rs. 7.5 lakh crore, The minister said, addressing a conference on methanol economy organised by Niti Aayog.

“The time has come to variation in agriculture,” the minister assigning that it has the capabilities to change the whole rural economy at a time when more than 10,000 farmers in Vidarbha region had committed suicide.
“The socio-economic situation is not good enough, agriculture is dealing sharp problems. This alternative fuel economy is going to variation socio-economic picture of agriculture and rural economy. This is moment for the country to project the way by which we can save the life of people in rural and agriculture sectors…
We can make ethanol from biomass that is cotton straw, wheat straw, rice straw and biogases. Even from municipal damage we can make ethanol,” the minister said.
Show off on “waste to wealth”, he said manufacturing ethanol and bio-gas from waste could outcome in vestige to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh crore per annum.
The Union Minister said ethanol is produced from biomass in Europe. One tone of rice straw can get 400 liters of ethanol. In North East, backbone could be used for making ethanol, as he said.
He more added it will banish pollution too as farmers in states like Haryana scalded wheat straw which produced more pollution in environment.
Except municipal waste and worthless of vegetables and fruits could be used in manufacturing bio-fuel.
Union Minister emphasizes the requirement for use of science, entrepreneurship, research, and technology and also said Niti Aayog is taking will power in this respect.
“They have terminated task norms for bio-CNG, ethanol, electricity and bio-diesel” Mr Gadkari said adding the officialism also expected to instant track decisions.
Taking a warp at departmentalism the minister said somewhere there is a required to immediate the whole decision-making process. “If there is a will, there is a way but if there is no will then there is no way. There will only be research groups, discussions and committees,” Mr Gadkari added.
The Union Minister also emphasize on the required to create methane from coal blocks and said some of the companies who were appoint the blocks were not doing nothing which is not in just is.
